What inspired you to start volunteering with CACUBO?
I started volunteering because I had a great time attending CACUBO events and wanted to help organize them for others.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your volunteer work?
The most rewarding aspect of volunteering with CACUBO is seeing how the organization brings people together from institutions across the country. It's wonderful to see our members making connections with and learning from each other.
What is a memorable experience or story from your time volunteering?
I had a great time being part of the host committee for the 2023 Annual Conference in Omaha. I made a lot of friends volunteering at that conference, and it made me want to get even more involved with CACUBO.
What do you enjoy about working in higher education?
I enjoy working in higher education because it provides a lot of opportunities to do interesting work and to collaborate with so many different people. It's also great when there is an opportunity to work directly with students and to get to see them learn and grow during their academic careers.
What hobbies or interests do you have outside of volunteering?
Outside of volunteering, I enjoy getting outdoors, biking the trails, spending time on the river, hiking the bluffs in the La Crosse area, and traveling to new places.

My favorite non-fiction book is The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the world and its history better.
