What inspired you to start volunteering with CACUBO?
I was excited to become involved with an organization that aligns best practices with peer networking opportunities. After a colleague recommended ways to help, I've enjoyed getting involved with a volunteer-run group that continues to work towards improvements within higher education institutions.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your volunteer work?
It feels great to connect with peers at other institutions and learn from each other. Helping an organization that facilitates these exchanges and pushes to share best practices across our industry is extremely rewarding.
What do you enjoy about working in higher education?
Whether it's groundbreaking research, preparing today's students to be the leaders of tomorrow, or a myriad of other activities, our institutions touch almost everyone. That said, my favorite part of my job is working with and advising students.
