Board of Directors
Volunteer Start Date:
2012
Nominated By:
Nancy Combs
Nomination Remarks:
"Bob serves as the Treasurer for the Board, which has a lot of responsibility, as he handles our finances, budgets, and accounting records. He has done this for several years, and it takes a lot of work.  His deep historical knowledge of CACUBO is also a tremendous asset to other board members."

What inspired you to start volunteering with CACUBO?
To network with other business officers.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your volunteer work?
Helping to deliver quality professional development to business professionals in higher education.

Share a memorable experience or story from your time volunteering.
I remember the first workshop I participated in and was surprised by how quickly it became more of an interactive session, with people sharing how their institutions approached similar issues and what worked and did not work for them. The openness and willingness to share between people and institutions is what really sets CACUBO events apart from others.

What do you enjoy about working in higher education?
I enjoy the collaboration between institutions and the fact it never gets boring. I can't recall a week I have shown up to work without a new issue to address, and it's those hard problems that are fun.
